Family & Relationship
Being raised in a family of fourteen was a great teaching experience for me. My parents were devoted to raising well-rounded children in a faith based christian atmosphere. My husband and I have patterned our family after the same. We home-educated and raised six beautiful children, who have all grown up and are now a vital part of their own community. Thirty plus years of marriage and ministry has afforded me relevant life experience with family, community and the church. I look forward to connecting with you as you continue your journey discovering all that is new and good for you and yours.
Lifestyle
When I think of lifestyle, I think of it holistically. I think of everything encompassing who you are. I think of your likes, your dislikes, what you do and all that is a vital part of the authentic you. I use the term authentic you, because it is very often we will find ourselves in a position in life we no longer appreciate and at that point we are no longer being authentically ourselves. Life has a way of altering the paths we are on and when we find ourselves moving away from what we aspired for initially, it causes a shift in our thinking which in turn we often allow our actions to line up with our out of balance thinking. For the past thirty plus years, I’ve had the pleasure of spending precious time with clients of various ages. I’ve raised six children, started a business, home-educated my children and ran a school. My training from The Protocol School of Washington and experience in hotel and restaurant management as well as ministry within the church has afforded me life altering changes in my own personal life. Those changes and experiences have enabled me to work with others helping them overcome obstacles keeping them from moving forward successfully.
Healthy living including meal prep, positive lifestyle strategies and structures are several sought after techniques offered. I have known Keena Small in a variety of capacities for many years. But when my daughter suddenly started having medical issues, it was Mrs. Small that I turned to for help with daughter’s education.
When my daughter started having seizures as a sophomore in high school, her GPA dropped due to her attendance and she fell so far behind academically that our goal was just to help her advance to the next grade level with credits that were required. In addition, my daughter’s safety while at school became an issue after a few incidents that caused injuries while having the seizures.
Mrs. Small welcomed the challenge of not only having a plan for my daughter’s education but to also help reduce the stress of her health issues. After 1 year under the instruction of Mrs. Small we saw a very impressive improvement in my daughter’s academics and she was completely seizure free.
