Peace
It’s a quiet morning for me. It’s almost a perfect day, although I cannot say what a perfect day would actually feel like. My day started out slow and purposeful. The purpose of this day is rest and peace. We had our Disciple’s to Go© bible study last night and it was wonderful! The fellowship and food was great and the lesson was meaty. Usually the day after our meeting is a time for me to reflect on the lesson personally and just rest. The lesson was on faith and trusting Jesus in all things. It was about being at peace and knowing Jesus is right with you in whatever your situation or wherever you are. When I say rest, it doesn’t always mean do nothing. I am talking about a day where your mind is not consumed with the “To do’s” of the day or week. There is no condemnation in doing only what you want after full speed ahead. How are you doing with resting?
The weather is perfect today. There is a breeze outside and it’s partly cloudy after a rainy day yesterday. I see my Squash and Bean plants growing in pots on my veranda. I am expectant of a good yield this year. I am enjoying my morning coffee and doing what I love; I am writing, resting, contemplating the day and praising God for a day where I can be at peace. I hope your day is full of peace, knowing God is always in control and with you wherever you are. Enjoy the day and rest.
Isaiah 26:3 King James Version (KJV)
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
