Dancing Through It All *.*
I am reminded of the seasons of change today. I was thinking about the picture of the tree on my blog. It was taken in the fall. It is amazing how the same tree will take on a different look at different times in the year. They were created to do the seasonal change and at the right time of the year they take on a completely different look. The look of change will sometimes be a gradual change. As the weather becomes colder and summer is progressively disappearing, the leaves on the tree will slowly dry and fall off. If the weather comes swiftly then the leaves will fall faster. It is a seasonal dance that takes place and if you watch closely you will see God’s handiwork in a completely different way. I love calling it a Seasonal Dance. It sounds so poetic or romantic. How is your season of change taking place? What does your dance look like?
It doesn’t matter that the tree will end up bare and exposed in the winter. It was made to withstand the change. There are some trees and plants that will not make it through change if planted in the wrong place. A variety of plants and trees are only able to survive when planted in the place or climate best suited for them. Where are you planted? Are you growing progressively? God knew when creating what and who he created, he knew their (our) abilities and strengths. He also knew if and when we came into bad weather, situations (and we will) or climates that were not conducive to our growth, he knows how to cover and protect us. He is also aware that certain roots are strengthened during the cold and harsh seasons. The roots underground will draw more during what seems like what we call dormant seasons. During the dormancy, there is something taking place that we cannot see. Something is taking place behind the scenes. The plant is being nourished in a particular way as it repairs and prepares itself for another season of growth on a different level. The new season will bring more growth and plenty of new shoots. The plant will grow so much more than the previous season. What seems like a time when the plant is looking dead and untouched is when all the miraculous and wonderful things underground (behind the scenes) are taking place. When the new season arrives the plant will blossom in a way as never before. Without the dormant season or the season that seems like a season of distress there can be no newness of growth or strengthening in the roots. It is a miraculous underground root strengthening process that will allow the plant to flourish and grow beyond its previous season.
We can do our seasonal dance knowing we were created and planted in a place where we could withstand the storms of life. When we are weak, we are then strong in Christ. (2 Corinthians 12: 9-10)
To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; Ecclesiastes 3: 1-4
Where are you in your seasonal dance? I pray you will flourish during your season of growth as you allow the process to prepare you for the next level and enjoy the dance in the season and place you are planted.
Don’t miss the dance while focusing on the process.
Happy Launching! Happy Dancing! 🙂
